The City of Orlando has provided an updated 2011 calendar for recycling. The recycling container is the smaller bright green can, and we are on the days highlighted in green.

There is a meeting to be held Tuesday, August 23, 6 p.m. at Northlake Park Community School in the cafeteria to review and discuss City of Orlando redistricting. We are located in Distric 1, and the meeting address is 9055 Northlake Pkwy.

In light of the recent storms, the City of Orlando has communicated the following:
The strong winds and storms we experienced over the past week are a reminder that hurricane season is not the only time to be prepared for emergencies. We were fortunate that these storms were mostly just heavy rain, but cold fronts passing through our state this time of year can quickly turn from thunderstorms to tornadoes.
